Meet Nicolette

I'm a former Orange County and Osceola County teacher, author of multiple published books and educational resources, homeschool mom, lifelong artist, and founder of Get Creative Club. Creativity has shaped my life from a very young age. As a child, I attended Dr. Antonio S. Pedreira School for the Development of Talented Children, where I was able to develop my artistic abilities in a nurturing environment. My artwork was published in a children's book while I was in fourth grade, and I later had the privilege of performing at the Centro de Bellas Artes in Puerto Rico. As an adult, my creative journey continued as a professional 3D cake artist, designer, and maker—always finding new ways to turn ideas into something meaningful and beautiful. My love for teaching eventually led me into the classroom, where I spent years working with students in Orange and Osceola counties. During that time, I discovered that hands-on creativity does so much more than produce beautiful projects. It builds confidence, encourages problem-solving, sparks curiosity, strengthens perseverance, and creates opportunities for children to connect with one another. Looking back, I can see how every chapter of my life has prepared me for this work. My experiences as an educator, author, artist, entrepreneur, and homeschool mom have all come together with one purpose: creating a place where children feel inspired to explore, create, and grow. At Get Creative Club, my goal is to provide more than an art class. I want every child who walks through our doors to feel welcomed, encouraged, and capable. I hope they leave each week proud of what they've created, excited to learn something new, and confident that they belong in a community that celebrates creativity, kindness, and imagination.
